These Tesla and anti-DOGE riots/protests are what happens when you can't win on law and ideas.

It's always heartening to see that Musk cultists & incels are concerned about #TakedownTesla.

Your comment is otherwise too profoundly stupid to deserve any response.

How you can blithely state supposed facts about American public life that are at complete odds with observable reality, in justification of totalitarian repression that is targeted at YOU (and the rest of us non-billionaires), is beyond me, especially since you style yourself a thoughtful member of the intelligentsia.

They could do what winners do - and put their money where their mouths are - and short the stock.... Although truth be told, I don't think you have to worry about protesters indirectly owning stock in Tesla. Based on what I have seen, their lives are so void of both accomplishment and purpose, that I suspect they couldn't put the scratch together to buy a single share.

Three Tesla terrorists caught and to be tried by the federal government. They could be hung.

I am certainly no fan of EVs, but I believe it is morally wrong to destroy the property of others. Are you suggesting otherwise?

Read the article and tell us where and how, in any sense whatsoever, it advocated for violence.

Quite the opposite. The author is trying to protect financially uninformed people from losing money on a grotesquely overvalued stock that has been propped up by fraud and lies.

I appreciated other articles by this author, but I was a bit surprised by this one. I have never been a fan of Tesla or EVs in general, and I would normally be happy to see Tesla stock take a major hit, but not for the wrong reasons. Selling Tesla stock at this time just rewards and encourages the domestic terrorists that are destroying Teslas and Tesla property. The investors that don't even realize they own it are unlikely to see any significant change in their portfolio anyway. I just thought it was in bad taste to pile on Tesla at this time -- but that's just my opinion, and if you disagree that's fine.

The article is about selling stock that one may inadvertently own. There is absolutely no recommendation of violent protest.

Glad to hear that. However, I think a casual mention that the widespread property damage is unacceptable might be appropriate.

Imagine all the formerly virtue-signalling Tesla owners out there who will turn against the left over this episode!

“Look at Elon, finally letting the teenage boy in him that never felt accepted show up. The gothy, vampy, just wants a little respect Elon. Waving around a chainsaw (not running), desperately repeating his flat jokes so we’ll finally get it—and get him—trying to make ‘Dark MAGA’ a thing. (That little war cry he uttered was hella kewt, not gonna lie.)”

The contrast between the handful of Musk supporters and the genuine protesters was striking yesterday. Musk supporters use the generic pre-made signs. Some of it just stacked unused. Who pays for that?

They all had the same brand new baseball caps and flags. And that huge mobile LED video on the side of a truck? That is expensive. I’m not the first to point out this.

While I sincerely hope they can put enough pressure on Musk to get him out of our government or out of Tesla, or both, it’s mostly people on the left who drive Tesla’s and now they’re being attacked by others on the left. Trump and Musk are masterfully getting us to fight each other while they stuff their overseas bank accounts with our money.

If people on the right start buying his cars and realize they are far less likely to start on fire than gas or diesel powered cars, that they are fun to drive, that they are cheaper to drive than anything else, that full self driving is a better and safer driver than they are, and that they can pull into a supercharger, plug in, go to the bathroom, get a drink, and be back on the road in the time they used to spend fumbling with their credit card, then Musk won’t be able to make the cars fast enough.
